We are seeking a new Account Manager to take the lead on some of our most important clients. The focus will be on ensuring our clients get the best service, while growing the accounts and coordinating jobs through to completion. Day-to-day client communications, an understanding of their marketing requests, as well as internal team liaison will be your bread and butter.

Here are the skills and abilities required, as well as some responsibilities:

  • 5+ years working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience
  • Campaign management experience
  • Experience of managing full website builds would be brilliant, but not essential as training can be given
  • Experience of project management software
  • A keen interest in digital marketing, website development and builds
  • An appetite to learn, be self-sufficient and be curious about our customers
  • An ability to strategise with clients on their requirements (understand, gather and document job requirements)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication – there is a requirement to do client presentations and regular client calls
  • Addressing client concerns and resolving any conflicts that arise
  • Monitoring the project budgets, managing costs and discussing new terms if necessary
  • Attention to detail. A problem solver. Driven to get the best result for us and our clients
  • Proactively suggest ideas to improve our client’s marketing and objectives
  • Schedule work in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with designers and developers. Plus, understanding how these teams work together
  • Reporting on the performance of websites, projects and accounts
  • A knowledge of modern web design and build process is desirable (but not essential)

This is a job to grow into, and we’ll provide the tools to enable you to do that. We offer progression and encourage development. The successful applicant would work under our Head of Client Management – to ensure jobs get delivered on time and on budget. The client services team currently comprises three members who manage accounts but with a strong focus on managing complex website projects. If you have experience with this then even better, but it’s not a requirement for the role.

The key outcomes for the role of the Account Manager at Rouge are that we have satisfied customers, happy production staff, and profitable projects.

The role is hybrid – with three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), and two days at home each week (Wednesday and Friday).

The right ‘fit’ is essential to us as we’ve worked hard on our culture to ensure we have a productive and enjoyable workforce. Our values encompass this: Pride, Understanding, Resourcefulness and Bravery.

What’s it like Working at Rouge?

Rouge Media is a digital design and development agency. We have a full range of clients from start-ups to large corporates. We deliver and support WordPress marketing sites, powerful web applications and everything in between. This breadth and range keeps us stable and secure as a business, and the variety keeps day-to-day work exciting and varied.

All our designers and developers work closely as a team. Problems get solved together. We spend time working on our own, but never in isolation.

One of the founding philosophies of the business was to protect a work-life balance. We believe that staying late, night after night, doesn’t mean more work gets done. So we try not to do it. We work hard, but we work efficiently.

We are easy to get to and well connected despite working in a village. We are right by Junction 12 of the M4. Rouge is 5 minutes walk from Theale train station, with direct trains to London Paddington.
